Your role as Financial Controller
The Financial Controller is part of our Finance team. In this position, you are responsible for taking our financial control to the next level. In this role you will set up the foundation of the financial control team based on your experience and knowledge. This position strikes a mix between providing critical day-to-day administrative and financial support to the company (financial control) and assisting in the development of long-term improvement projects. As Shypple is a dynamic scale-up you will also be exposed to many other (financial) parts of the business. You will be part of a small finance team with high standards and a lot of room to make an impact.
What you’ll be doing
Coordination of period end closings and reporting of multiple entities;
Analyzing the monthly financial statements and supporting data;
Managing the annual audit process;
Establishing and monitoring the implementation and maintenance of operational financial and accounting control procedures, including the supporting documentation: tax, legal, audit, and account reconciliations;
Optimize processes and procedures
What you'll bring
At least 5-10 years of working experience, preferably minimal 3 years of experience in an audit firm;
BSc/MSc in finance, accounting or relevant field;
Modeling and analytical skills;
Good knowledge of financial legislation, regulation and practices;
Communication skills in both Dutch and English;
You feel at home in a growing and dynamic start-up/scale-up environment.
Experience in project and improvement management is preferred;
Knowledge of the logistics industry is a big plus;
